Mystery plant, possibly of the nightshade family

This wild plant's flowers reminds me of a eggplant. I was it growing adjacent to a parking lot and I thought the flowers were rather pretty.

Hi Deemom,
Sorry to reply so late. I do believe it's in the nightshade family. It resembles the flower of the eggplant but I have no idea what it is. I wonder if it might no be a datura?
