Hi Deemom, After I planted several rhizomes I found out that this anemone will spread quite readily and can be invasive so I don't know if you really want it. So far my plants are small and well behaved so I'll reserve judgment. I do have a collection of anemones so I thought I should have a representative of most of the species :)
Hi Ki You have some beautiful pictures here ! I have that anemone as well and it is a gorgeouslittle thing. I think the bleeding heart is a Dicentra 'Luxuriant' .. I would love to have the yellow Dutchman's Breetchs ? (spelling).. but I think this one would be fine for dividing but it is in such a tricky place to get digging in .. I'll see what I can do while I still have some time though. thanks for stopping by my blog ! Joy
Hi Joy, I think if you lifted the log with the tip of a shovel and moved it slightly you could easily get to the dicentra. I saw some Dutchman's britches in the Wayside Gardens collectors catalog but when I tried to order it, it was sold out. I managed to find some on the American Meadows website so I'm eagerly awaiting the plant. Anemones are wonderful flowers. We planted a bunch of A. coronarias but haven't seen any signs of them. I hope those pesky squirrels haven't eaten them all. Thank you for your very nice comment.
