Hi Iowa gardening woman, The oil stain coloring is what caught my eye. I think this may be just a plain old hoverfly but it's surprising how beautiful some things are that we're not normally aware of.
Thank you very much for your kind words Iowa gardening woman. The macro capability of digital cameras are wonderful. I've added lenses to get even closer shots which turns up interesting things I've never seen before.

Now that you mention it, it does look like stained glass. This bee was a quick mover so it was difficult to focus the camera.
